Actor Sivakarthikeyan is all busy promoting his new film Velaikkaran, helmed by Mohan Raja. In a recent interview, the actor opened up on his upcoming sci-fi film with director Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame.
“I had really liked Ravikumar’s Indru Netru Naalai and had called up to wish him. He wanted to narrate an idea to me then. So we met the next day and I really liked his concept. How would it be if Sivakarthikeyan did a sci-fi film? The script was designed for me. So I locked the story and asked him to work on the screenplay,” said Sivakarthikeyan.
The actor also revealed that he is waiting to do a kids fantasy film. Siva also revealed that he enjoys watching animation films and the song in Rajinikanth’s yesteryear hit Raaja Chinna Roja had influenced him a lot in the childhood.
Actor Sivakarthikeyan who has a huge following among kids and family audience, agreed that films watchable by kids is a factor that he looks at while choosing scripts. Apart from the Ravikumar project, Sivakarthikeyan also has a movie with director Ponram, who had earlier given two hits Rajini Murugan and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam with the actor.
Velaikkaran starring Sivakarthikeyan, Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara in the lead roles is slated to hit big screens on December 22nd.
