It’s going to be a year since director SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” hit the silver screens, still, the film is continuing its earth-shattering box-0ffice run. Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles, the movie created a benchmark in the history of Indian cinema by grossing over Rs 1500 Crore worldwide.

Now, the latest is that the movie has completed a successful 100 days in Japan. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion was released in Japan on December 29 last year and has reportedly grossed USD 1.3 million at the box office.

The movie’s producer Shobu Yarlagadda took to his Twitter page to share the news. He tweeted, “@BaahubaliMovie 2 released in Japan on 29th December. It has crossed 100 days in theatres & presently in its 15th week grossing over US$1.3 million! A big thank you to Japanese fans for the love and our Japanese distributor @movietwin2 for a great release!”

With the stupendous success of the movie, both the lead stars – Prabhas and Rana Daggubati – won the hearts of millions across the globe. While Prabhas’ performance as Amarendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali struck a chord with the moviegoers, Rana played the role of Bhallaldeva, a character that made us hate him and admire at the same time.

Interestingly, Japanese held a special tribute to Bhallaldeva, by conducting a special screening for the character’s fans in Tokyo on March 27.  “@RanaDaggubati Only for your fans!! @BaahubaliMovie 2,” tweeted the movie’s producer Shobu Yarlagadda.

Even after 15 weeks of Baahubali 2‘s release in Japan, the box office is reportedly going strong.
