Actor Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and director Shankar are coming together for Indian 2, the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian. As the project brings back the super hit combo after two decades and is the last film in Kamal Haasan’s illustrious career after he has taken a plunge into politics, Indian 2 is one of the much-hyped Tamil projects after Rajinikanth’s 2.0.
The latest we hear is that young lyricist and writer Kabilan Vairamuthu has been roped-in to pen dialogues for the film alongside Jeyamohan, who previously worked with Kamal in Paapanasam. Kabilan the multi-faceted talent, was the screenwriter of Ajith’s Vivegam and Vijay Sethupathi’s Kavan.
It is reported that Indian 2 is likely to go on floors in the month of August 2018. The movie which will be made on a large scale will have Muthuraj handling the art direction and cinematographer Ravi Varman to handle the camera. The makers are yet to disclose more details about the project.
