A few months ago, it was announced that the blockbuster Kalavani will get a sequel and it has been titled K2. Starring Vemal and Oviya in the lead, the movie started rolling a few months back. Director Sarkunam has revealed that actor Oviya has joined the K2 team for shooting her bits.
“#OviyajoinsKalavani2 @OviyaaSweetz @ActorVemal @SureshChandraa @DoneChannel1 (sic.)” his tweet read, along with a picture.
The title logo of the movie was launched on Twitter by actor Sivakarthikeyan, with whom Vemal shared screen space in Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga.
Oviya, who shot to fame after her stint on a popular reality TV show, has a massive fan following. Apart from K2, she also has Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 3 and 90 ml.
Interestingly, Kalavani was the debut movie for Oviya and director Sarkunam. It went on to become a sleeper hit at the box office and fans are eagerly waiting for the second part.
