Vishal Film Factory is producing the film Irumbu Thirai, with Vishal and Samantha playing the lead roles. Arjun plays the role of the antagonist and music for the film has been scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
According to sources, director Mithran revealed that Vishal wanted to play the role of the villain in the movie.
In a recent interview, director Mithran revealed that when he first narrated the script to Vishal, the actor was so impressed that he offered to produce the movie under his banner Vishal Film Factory on the condition that he plays the role of the villain. Supposedly, the role of the villain was so powerful that Vishal was bent on playing it.
If reports are to be believed, it was director Mithran who changed Vishal’s mind and made him take up the role of the hero. It is also said that Mithran made a lot of changes in the movie to suit the image of Vishal, including making the main character a military man.
According to sources, the film revolves around the mysteries happening around us and the impact it has on the society. All events in the film have been dealt with in a military backdrop.
Apart from talking about Vishal’s role and the powerful villain character, Mithran has also revealed that Samantha has an important role to play in the film. According to reports, he has called Samantha’s role ‘different from usual heroine ones’ and that she has a solid part in the film.
