“A brother who was like a father”, Kamal’s tribute to Chandrahasan

On the first death anniversary of actor and producer Chandrahasan, sibling and now actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan has penned a poignant note in memory of his “brother who was like a father”.

Chandrahasan died, aged 82, in London, United Kingdom, following a cardiac arrest.

“In memory of Mr. Chandrahasan. A brother who was like a father to me. A partner who was also my guru. The only share in my profits he ever asked was to see me win. Fortunate to have been his brother when even knowing him would have been great enough,” Kamal Haasan wrote.

Chandrahasan had appeared in many movies, including playing the role of Kamal’s father in Raaja Paarvai.  Chandrahasan’s elder brother Charuhasan and daughter Anu Hasan are well-known faces in the industry as actors.
