On Sunday, flight services between Tamil Nadu districts Salem and Chennai resumed. Introduced under the regional connectivity scheme of UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagarik), the airplane, will take off from Chennai at 9:50 am and reach Salem by 10:40 a.m. And, start from Salem at 11:00 am and reach Chennai by 11:50 a.m.
The flight services between the two places have been resumed after a gap of 7 years.
With a seating capacity of 72 passengers, a ticket in the Truject ATR 72-600 aircraft is priced at Rs. 1,499.
Flight service will be introduced from Hosur within three months and from Thanjavur, Neyveli and Vellore by this year-end.
