Samantha Akkineni is all set to share screen space with Sivakarthikeyan, for the first time.
The romantic drama is directed by director Ponram. Composer Imman is scoring the tunes for the untitled film. Interestingly, Samantha’s look was revealed in July. In the picture, she was seen in a simple and traditional look.
“The third leg of the movie resumes after a short break and the first look will be releasing on Feb. 17”, tweeted the production house.

Sivakarthikeyan-Samantha combo
Sivakarthikeyan is one of the fastest rising stars in Kollywood. Similarly, Samantha too is one of the most bankable actors in the industry.
The Ponram-Sivakarthikeyan combo is back again, after delivering blockbusters like Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan. The director has roped in veteran actors like Simran, and Napoleon to play crucial roles in the film. It also has a promising team of comedians, including Soori, ‘Motta’ Rajendran, Yogi Babu and Manobala.
On a related note, this is a busy time for Sivakarthikeyan as well as Samantha. Sivakarthikeyan will soon be seen in Velaikkaran. The film is an action-thriller and has directed by Mohan Raja. In it, he will be seen alongside ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara and Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil. Velaikkaran will hit screens on December 22.
Samantha currently has Rangasthalam and Irumbu Thirai in her kitty. Rangasthalam is a romantic-drama and has been directed by Sukumar. On the other hand, Irumbu Thirai is an action-thriller and has been directed by P.S. Mithran.
The majority of the film is shot in and around Tenkasi. The filmmakers are aiming to release it in summer of 2018.
