Aruvi, a film that has been getting rave reviews since its release, seems to have touched a sensitive nerve with actor and director Lakshmi Ramakrishnan.
The film opened to a highly positive response from audience and critics alike; many from the film fraternity as well took to social media to shower their praises on the movie.
However, according to reports, actor and director Lakshmi is irked with certain scenes depicted in the movie. It was reported that certain scenes in the movie seemed to make a parody of a reality TV show hosted by Lakshmi.
When talents from TN are busy making spoofs and belittling others’ work and defaming in their movies, Bollywood is making movies on real heroes, happy to have interacted with the real #padman @PadManTheFilm pic.twitter.com/2RDNp4nkTy

The irked actor has taken to Twitter to express her displeasure. While on the one hand, her ardent followers have displayed their support for the actor, on the other hand, people are urging her to take it sportively and to appreciate the film.
Lakshmi, however, has made her stance clear. Check out some of her tweets here:
You have participated in #SU?Kallakaadhalaa?! Or , may be the director has or his family members:). That is why he knows so much about the show:) https://t.co/7obb3qc02x

The Director would have seen such things happening in shows & channel he worked for! he doesn’t have the b…. to spoof his own channel. #SU is easy target to become popular & some quick bucks! feminist film made by cheap & personal attacks on another woman! What greatness! https://t.co/7obb3qc02x

They don’t respect living people and women, why would they respect religious sentiments?!
Making a feminist film by personally attacking another woman is the cheapest and most disappointing part of this film! https://t.co/8ftxB003k0— Lakshmy Ramakrishnan (@LakshmyRamki) December 19, 2017
And the worst part is prominent media people appreciating the film in spite of the gross disrespect and abuse of another woman! https://t.co/8ftxB003k0

If the makers/ director has the b…. let them face me , live on camera, and answer my queries, good opportunity for publicity for the film! Can any of the popular channels including @ZeeTamil , come forward to do this? https://t.co/OeMKdwdtZu

if someone has a problem with the format, they should address that! You cannot belittle and demean & defame my sincere contribution for the past 6 years! I don’t do social work, but do my job with social responsibility & film industry has tried to damage me over & over again https://t.co/6DVUZimYLA

Women should speak up not just for their own sake but for other women also. targeting a woman’s reputation, someone who is a film maker / actor, also lends voice for social issues, is nothing but destructive. If u have opinion about the show, discuss that, why personal attacks ?
