Multi-starrer movies have always been a treat for audiences. It is needless to say that Mani Ratnam’s upcoming movie starring Vijay Sethupathi, STR, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Arvind Swami, Aditi Rao Hydari and Aishwarya Rajesh is one of the most anticipated Kollywood projects, that every movie-buff looking forward to.
Much to the surprise of audiences, the makers of the movie have unveiled the title and first look poster, which has already created a stir on social media.
Titled Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, the first look poster of the movie features only the eyes of STR, Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi and Arun Vijay. In Telugu, the movie is titled, Nawab.

Though it was officially announced that the Mollywood star Fahadh Faasil would be playing one of the lead roles in the movie, recently there were speculations doing the rounds that the actor has backed out of the project. In addition to this, the absence of Fahadh Faasil in the poster has raised the eyebrows of many, especially the Mollywood audience, who have been eagerly waiting for the big-budget flick.
Has Arun Vijay replaced Fahadh Faasil’s character in the movie? Well, let’s wait and watch for an official announcement from the team.
Touted to be an action-thriller, makers have pinned high hopes on Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. Santosh Sivan will crank the camera. Oscar-winning musician A.R Rahman will compose the music for the film, which is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Editing is by Sreekar Prasad.
The Mani Ratnam project will start rolling on February 12. The first schedule is expected to be shot in Chennai. Stay tuned for further updates!
