Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer project Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is one of the much-anticipated movies of 2018. Featuring an ensemble cast of Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Simbu, Arun Vijay, Aishwarya Rajesh, Jyothika and Aditi Rao Hydari, the movie will also release in Telugu as Nawab.
Initially, there were speculations doing the round that Mollywood actor Anthony Varghese, who played the lead in the critically acclaimed commercial hit Angamaly Diaries, will play an important role in the movie. The latest update is that Mollywood actor Sarath Kumar has replaced Anthony in the movie.
Sarath Kumar is popular for his power-packed performance in Angamaly Diaries. The actor is familiar to Tamil audience, for his performance in the sensational Malayalam song Jimikki Kammal from Velipadinte Pusthakam. Sarath is playing an important role in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
Touted to be a socio-political drama, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam will throw light on issues like industrial Pollution and much more. As reported earlier, the movie went on floors on February 12 in Chennai. While the lead stars have already started shooting for the film, actor Sarath Kumar has recently joined the shoot.

My dear friends and fans,” wrote the excited actor on his Facebook page. Sarath also shared a picture of him with director Mani Ratnam and his new look for the movie.
Who is Sarath Kumar?
Actor Sarath Kumar rose to fame portraying the rugged character Appani, in his debut film Angamaly Diaries (2017) directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. Though the versatile actor is just 4 films old, has already become a sensation in Malayalam Cinema. Sarath was last seen in the Mollywood flick Paipin Chuvattile Pranayam.
The actor is making his Tamil debut with the upcoming Vishal film Sandakozhi 2 directed by Lingusamy. Reportedly, the actor is playing a negative shaded role in the upcoming sequel.
