Thara local don is back in action. Dhanush’s much-anticipated action entertainer Maari 2 started rolling on Monday. Directed by Balaji Mohan, the movie is a sequel to 2016 superhit Maari, and was officially launched towards the end of last year.
A day before the movie went on floors, the team including Dhanush, Robo Shankar and Sai Pallavi visited Nellaiappar temple.
While Maari 2 had music scored by Anirudh, the upcoming sequel will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Interestingly, Dhanush and Yuvan are collaborating after ten years.
The sequel will have the Premam fame Sai Pallavi playing the female lead and Mollywood star Tovino Thomas as the baddie.
Actors Robo Shankar and Vinod, are retained in the sequel too. Apart from them, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Krishna are also playing pivotal roles in the movie.
