On Sunday, the Chennaiyin FC team, co-owned by Abhishek Bachchan, lifted the ISL trophy for the second time, after 2015. The elated star took to Twitter to share his excitement.
“Eternally grateful John. This win is for the fans of @chennaiyinfc!!! #KTBFFH,” tweeted Abhishek Bachchan, along with a picture of him carrying the team’s official flag!
While the actor has been showered with love from celebrities and fans on social media, Kollywood actor Suriya too praised the Guru actor for the prestigious win. Referring the actor as a brother, Suriya tweeted, “The Desire and belief!! Congratulations !! So happy n proud brother !! #ChennaiyinFC.”
In a matter of few minutes, Abhishek Bachchan replied to Suriya and also invited him for the next season. “Thank you brother…. Next season you must come to the #marinarena @ChennaiyinFC,” tweeted Abhishek Bachchan.
Actor Suriya was quick to respond to the Bollywood actor. “Oh yess..!!,” replied Suriya.
On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan has started shooting for his upcoming venture, Manmarziyan directed by Anurag Kashyap. The movie also stars Tapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles.
Meanwhile, Suriya is currently busy shooting for the Selvaraghavan project NGK. The shooting of the much-anticipated movie is in full swing and is eyeing for Diwali release this year!
