After a brief break, the shooting of actor Vikram’s much-anticipated sequel Saamy Square aka Saamy 2 directed by Hari, has resumed in Tirunelveli.
Thameens Films, the producers of the movie, announced the news through their Twitter handle. The makers also unveiled the title poster of the movie, which has already created a stir online.

Ever since the movie went on floors, several shooting stills surfaced on social media. Going by the pictures, Vikram essays a young look in the sequel too. Meanwhile, there are speculations doing the rounds that Vikram will be seen in two roles – as Aarusamy and his son.
While the prequel had Trisha in the female lead, Saamy Square features Keerthy Suresh. Reportedly, Keerthy Suresh will be pairing opposite Aarusamy’s son character.
Apart from Vikram and Keerthy Suresh, versatile actor Bobby Simha essays the main antagonist role in Saamy Square. Thee leaked pictures from the shooting location, hints that Bobby Simha will be seen as Ravan Pichchai, one of the three sons of Perumal Pichai (Kota Srinivasa Rao), who played the antagonist role in Saamy.
Saamy Square is scheduled to release for Summer 2018. It is rumoured that the makers are eyeing for May 1 release. Incidentally, the release date coincides with that of its prequel, Saamy, which hit theatres 15 years ago. An official announcement on the same is awaited. Stay tuned!
