The trailer of Sai Pallavi’s upcoming movie, Karu, has been released, and shows that the film revolve around the theme of abortion. The trailer of the film was launched by Prabhudeva at 5 p.m. on Nov. 18.
The 1 minute 35 second-long trailer, featuring Sai Pallavi and Naga Shaurya, looks intriguing. Karu focuses on the bond between a mother and her four-year-old daughter. Overall, it is hard-hitting trailer with nail-biting visuals and BGM. The bilingual movie will be released in Telugu as Kanam.
A horror movie about abortion
The horror drama is directed by A. L. Vijay and bankrolled by Lyca Productions, which is also behind Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0.
Karu wastes no time in explaining its title. “Abortion is the expulsion of a foetus before it is able to survive independently,” the screen reads, as a woman weeps and asks her mother for forgiveness.
Sai Pallavi, more popularly known as ‘Malar teacher’, is playing the role of a newlywed girl who experiences supernatural powers following her abortion.
RJ Balaji plays the role of a cop and announces that ‘this is a cold-blooded murder’.
Who is he talking about? And who is the adorable little girl making an appearance now and then?
The cop also says that he will get a death sentence for a suspect, no matter how influential he is. There seems to be a conflict between families too, and death.
Sai Pallavi shared the Tamil & Telugu teaser on Twitter. She wrote, “My First Tamil film #karu Thank u Vijay Sir, Nirav Sir N my pretty baby Veronika “.
