Tamil actor R. Neelakantan, popularly known as Neelu, passed away on Thursday. The veteran actor was a part of 7,000 stage plays and 160 films in his illustrious career.
Born in 1936, Neelakantan, along with Cho Ramaswamy’s brother and Narayanasamy, founded Viveka Fine Arts. When he has 30, he made his film début Aayiram Poi directed by Muktha Srinivasan.
