A.R Reihana, the sister of music director A.R Rahman and mother of GV Prakash, turns producer with the comedy entertainer Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala. Directed by Vignesh Karthik, the movie stars Azhar and Sanchita Shetty in lead roles.
The movie is hitting theatres this Friday, and the team is all busy promoting the film. In an exclusive interview with Suryan FM, the movie’s director Vignesh Karthik said that the movie will be a fun ride. “Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala will be a jolly entertainer with no cliches,” said Vignesh Karthik.
Talking about the movie and his experience of being the hero of Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala, actor Azhar said, “I still find it hard to think that I’ve become a hero. In the sets, they used to call the hero of the movie, and I used to wonder who they’re calling. It still hasn’t hit me.”
A.R Reihana, who is all impressed with Azhar’s performance said that she is truly inspired by him. Showering praises on Vignesh Karthik, Reihana said, “he is brilliant and talented.” Apart from financing the movie, Reihana is also taking care of the music for the film.
Talking about his role in the movie, actor Singapore Deepan said, “A very important film for me. The inputs from the director were very useful. He had a clear vision and all credits go to him.” Actors Yogi Babu, Uma Padmanaban, Mansoor Ali Khan and many others will also be seen in important roles.
