According to the latest buzz, the makers of Vishal’s upcoming action thriller Irumbu Thirai have locked in on May 18 as their release date. The movie brings together Vishal, Arjun, and Samantha in lead roles. Directed by P.S. Mithran, the movie was initially slated to hit the big screens in January.
However, the movie was postponed due to various reasons, which includes the recent 47 days long Tamil cinema strike as well. Our sources say that the producers are yet to finalize the new release date and an official announcement from the Irumbu Thirai team is expected anytime soon.
Bankrolled by the actor’s production banner Vishal Film Factory, the movie features Vishal in the role of a military man named Major R. Kathiravan. Samantha plays the role of doctor Rathi Devi, while Arjun Sarja appears as a stylish baddie in the thriller. Interestingly, in Arjun’s character poster, he is referred to as ‘white_devil’.
The movie which is based on cyberterrorism has already created a huge hype among the audience with its fast-paced trailer and ‘athiradi’ songs.
