`NEET 2018- Supreme court's decision comes as bad news for Tamil Nadu aspirants

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET will be conducted on Sunday, May 6 and aspirants from Tamil Nadu have just been given some sour news.

In a move that disappointed NEET aspirants from Tamil Nadu, the Supreme Court stayed the order from CBSE to set up more examination centers in the state.

This means that hundreds of students from the state will have to travel to a neighboring state to appear for the exam. According to reports, over 1000 students will be traveling to centers spread across Kerala.

However, the Supreme Court has accepted the CBSE’s plea to not establish exam centers in such short notice.

Parents of students have been voicing their concerns over this, including the travel exhaustion and the ticket availability.

In a warm gesture, some Kollywood celebrities have offered to sponsor students appearing for NEET. The list so far includes actor Prasanna and actor Gayathri Raguramm‏.

“I can sponsor one NEET exam student to travel and stay and food. That’s how much I can afford. I’m not rich but can help one student. #NEET exam. (sic.)” Gayathri had tweeted, while Prasanna said- “Wud love to sponsor travel expenses for atleast 2 underprevilleged students or Govt school students appearing for #NEET this year. Inbox me the details like hall ticket, place where ur exam hall assigned will book the tickets for u. (sic.)”

Actor Arulnithi has also put up a tweet saying- “#axessfilm and myself are ready to sponsor for 20 govt school students appearing in other states for #NEET 2018 details contact 9841777077 (sic.)”
