Madhan Karky reveals how he wrote Irumbile

Madhan Karky made his way into showbiz with the song Irumbile for Endhiran. It is almost unbelievable that the song came out nearly a decade ago.

Recently, Madhan Karky took to Twitter to reminisce about how he wrote the song. It is widely known that Madhan holds a Ph.D. in information technology and graduated from the College of Engineering, Guindy.

Madhan has revealed that he was “was sitting in Anna University’s sports gallery and writing” the song. We can almost picture the scene in our heads.

#May21 Ten years ago, on this day, I was sitting in Anna University’s sports gallery and writing my first song #Irumbile, for #Endhiran. Thank you all for this beautiful journey which would have not been possible without your love, wishes and guidance. (sic.)” he had said in his tweet.

Madhan went on to work with director Shankar on the film’s dialogues. He penned the lyrics for many songs after that and he made his breakthrough with Enamo Edho from Ko. 

Later, he went on to pen the lyrics for the Baahubali franchise. He rose to the spotlight after he created a new language called Kiliki for the movie.

Right from the day he made his debut, there has been no looking back for the talented lyricist. He lyrics already have a huge fan base among the youth and it looks like it will only get bigger.
